Did any businesscards at "embedded world" make it into the queue?

Hello

Did anybody of you give a business card at Farnell's booth at "embedded world" and got into the "interested"-queue? I got some generall Farnell advertising a couple of weeks later but until now not one single (personal) message remotely connected to the RasPi. I'd say they put me into the "general exhibition contacts" and *not* into the "Raspberry customers".

I registered interest with RS some time after I got that Farnell general ad mentioned and they sent me a preorder-key about 1 1/2 weeks agou. Of course I preordered, including entering credit card etc. but they did not yet tell me when or if I'll get a board. We'll see.

I registered interest again through the element14-website when I could be sure my business card got into the wrong pot - but I am at the very end of the queue now, of course. I'll see what happens. I don't think I'll get my order invitation before normal public sale starts anyway. At least that way I can't say I was unfair; most of the people really wanting one (and beeing able to do something with it) got their board by now, I guess. A friend of mine already got his - he was ordering online at the same moment I was standig in the crowd at the Farnell booth.

By now prices on eBay got down to a level nearly comparable to Farnell's and RS's regular prices (including shipping). Maybe there's quite soon no need to order new ones since market is swamped with all those boards their buyers don't have a clue how to make it work. It was a hype after all and it's likely sales rates drop dramatically to almost 0 by the end of the year, isn't it?

Regards

I got the order invitation yesterday in the evening. To the e-mail-address I put into the online form at element 14 several weeks after the embedded world. So I can say that the standard process works, but all the non-standard stuff doesn't. The businesscard got into the "general marketing"-pot and the online form into the "Raspberry Pi interested" pot. I guess this was it in most cases.

Anyway, I might get a Raspi in august from Farnell. I'll take it whenever they send it. First I thought it might be unfair to order 2 now but I did promise to give one to my brother as a christmas gift (christmas 2011 BTW) so I can definitely say I ordered one per person now. The third one I have to get for the company still is nowhere, though. Anyway, eBay shows me that about everybody ordered at both suppliers and most of them did it months before me (and quite many did it *only* to make a big profit at eBay and not to use it themselves).

    Regards

I think you can order more than one now. Actually when I placed my order on Feb 29 I put two instead of one and element14 send

first one on 5/25 and the second one on 6/5, both via UPS ground (US).

Interesting thing, the first board to arrive looks like from the 2nd batch of pcbs, it has the CE and FCC logos on the bottom silk screen,

the second board looks like from some other batch (first one?), it has a CE legend on the top silk screen but two stickers with the

CE and FCC logos on the bottom.
