Just cross your fingers...nothing else you can do! image So far it seems 'normal' to get no confirmation.

    Hi

Not a good story, I ordered mine on the 3rd March, took so long that I had a new bank card in the meantime and forgot to update, never recieved a single email, or that it was even ready for delivery.

You should be ok now though, most of the problems have been sorted out. Just keep a close eye on things to make sure!

I ordered mine months ago and got no information. I queried it with farnell who now say I have been supremely patient and that when they get supplies, I will get mine but not until the middle of July.

    Nasima,

If in fact you had placed an order (as opposed to simply registering

your interest), and if you are in England, you would be entitled to a

    prompt, online, order confirmation.  See

    http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/consumer_e/consumer_different_ways_of_buying_e/consumer_buying_by_internet_mail_order_or_phone_e/extra_rights_to_information_when_you_buy_electronically.htm

"Once you've placed an online order, the trader must acknowledge it by electronic means, without too much delay."

But if you have simply registered your interest, which is all you can

do at the moment, there is probably no duty to acknowledge your interest,

although it certainly would be a good practice to do so.

by the way, I'm not sure if your son is an experienced computer user,

or has an experienced computer user to guide him, but you should be

aware that the RPi is intended for educational use, but the educational

version has not yet been released.  The current version is described

as a "WIP" (work in progress) and is intended for experienced users

who will develop the software for the following educational version.
