The "register your interest" page at

http://downloads.element14.com/raspberryPi2.html?isRedirect=true&ICID=raspberrypigroup_us

now says:

"We will be opening up to general Raspberry Pi orders on Thursday 5th July. Therefore we will cease to take registrations from Monday 2nd July. Any Registrations placed up until Monday 2nd July will be invited to order prior to general orders commencing. You will be able to place your order directly from Thursday 5th July on an ongoing basis, for deliveries in approximately 4 weeks."

Still waiting to be able to order.  I keep getting the:  "Please try the link in your email again later, we still have your place in line." page.  What is going on?  I have been doing this for days.  You have taken a great idea and made it a real pain.

Seems that Morgaine may have got her wish and they're now available ex-stock ?

I'll believe it when I see it at Farnell UK.  Currently only the accessories are normal ex-stock items, while for the Pi itself it says:

    • "Order today for expected delivery within 5 weeks."

and it redirects such preorders to export.farnell.com with all the non-account silliness that that entails.  In other words, no change.

    Morgaine.

Instead of taking the consumer re-direct, try the business route. It currently says "3,293 in stock for next working day delivery (UK stock)".

Seeing is believing though, I'll let you know if the ones I have on back-order via the business route turn up early next week. If they have stock then they should..

I'm seeing "available soon" for the accessory bundles.

This morning uk.farnell.com is back to 'awaiting delivery',  newark still showing 100 available to ship today.  So we're left guessing what the actual state of affairs is again.

I'd love to be a "fly on the wall" in the Farnell Procurement Dept ... the rate of "WTF !!!" exclamations must be pretty interesting. image

I would love to get some response from them. It's been days now, I message the customer support regarding my order nearly every day, nothing, no answer no anything. And when I read in the forum here, I'm not the only one.

It's all part of the Pi "WTF???!!!" experience.

Someone's going to write a book about all this, and it's going to be pretty funny. image

I think most rational people interested in Pi transcended in the first few hours of 29 Feb-1 Mar.  The rest of us are still too busy laughing to transcend.

You guys are incredibly needy, the Raspberry Pi might not be for you right now if you can't handle some uncertainty. This is pretty much par for the course for dealing with big electronic suppliers like this, too, industrial customers are used to it. Try canceling and looking again next year, by then the supply chain should be solid.

Anyway, I just got my shipping confirmation. I ordered a few hours after coder27 posted that it was possible; the 10 day lead time is pretty awesome, but actually throws a wrench in my plans since I'd taken another couple of contracts expecting 4 more weeks before I got the units. Oh well, can't complain about speedy delivery!
