Former Member
Former Member over 12 years ago

Hi there can someone help me get the AVR 328P-PU Microcontroller working with Arduino IDE.

I have followed and completed the setup instructions in the manual and on the website mentioned in the manual.

The error i am gettin is listed below:

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000

              0x0c  != 0x00

avrdude: verification error; content mismatch

and on the Gertboard all the buffered LEDs are lit

the sketch im trying to load is Blink example

If you need more information just ask and i will try my best to help get the information you requier.

Many Thanks in Advance

Lee

P.S: Sorry for any gramatical / spelling errors

    Could be the boot loader, but I also recommend double checking the four patch wires that must be inserted between the Pi GPIOs and the ATMega ICSP pins. If any of those were swapped or out of position you'd get error messages like the ones you're seeing.

    adding to the above...

    1)  Check that you have selected the correct board which will be: Gertboard ATMEGA.

    2)  Check that the port is Raspberry Pi Programmer

    3) When uploading the sketch, make sure you go to file > 'upload using programmer'

    Number 3 is the main cause of the issues you are having.  you MUST upload using programmer.
