Piface install script question

Hi all

Trying to install piface emulator and now getting this message image

 

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ piface/scripts/piface-emulator

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "piface/scripts/piface-emulator", line 5, in <module>

    emu.init()

AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'init'

 

have been able to once get the emulator "up" on screen but said it could not find the piface (which is firmly plugged in )

scratching my head on what to do next

cannot find any info in discussions - do I need to do a full reinstall ?

I am a newbie so please be gentle image

  • download new piface raspianwheel cobined in has it installed

     

    or type interminal window #blacklist spi-bcm2708

     

    type in sudo raspi-config

     

    type sudo reboot

     

    piface/scripts/piface-emulator

     

    or

    wget -O - http://pi.cs..man.ac.uk/download/install.txt | bash

     

    capital O above

     

    sudo reboot

    Apologies for crashing your thread. I’m also going through the painful process in getting my PiFace working. When I enter your suggested commands I get the following.

    type in sudo raspi-config – takes me to the an configuration/setup screen. Not sure what to do here?

     

    piface/scripts/piface-emulator – I get the following message:- bash: piface/scripts/piface-emulator: No such file or directory

     

    wget -O - http://pi.cs..man.ac.uk/download/install.txt | bash  -   I get the following message:- wget: missing URL

    Usage: wget [OPTIO]… [URL]…

    Try ‘wget –help’ for more options

     

    Any suggestions will be welcomed.
