When I connect a Pi to a monitor using HDMI to VGA cable I get no output
Hi,
If I turn on my Pi when the attached TV is off, I get nothing on the TV when it is turned on. This suggests that the Pi needs to sense the TV.
It may be that your converter is not sensed.
Check out /boot/config.txt for a way to force HDMI output.
