wifi direct on raspberrypi by using wipi adapter

hi ,

 

I have Raspberry pi 2 board and wi-pi adapter is with me. by using wipi adapter i can connect with wifi network.

now i need to do wi-fi direct feature.

i need to communicate  board by using wifi direct feature with another android phone.

how it is possible .It is an urgent query please help me.

    first of all, about your query I suggest that you simply set Android WiFi as a WiFI access point then you connect the Raspberry to it. Then, if your Android has also the Bluetooth or 3G/4G connection active your Raspberry PI can also access to Internet, depending on the settings of your Android WiFi Direct.

     

    Second, please consider that the users that can answer to a query do this happily as a favour in a harmonised collaborative situation. So, if your query is urgent, be patient and wait that users give you a suggestion.

    I am trying to do something very similar to this, making wifi-direct work between a RPi and any wifi-direct enabled android device. I have tried to achieve this using  EDIMAX EW-7811Un and TP Link tl-wn725n on a RPi 2 model B but have had no luck by far. First problem I face is that I am not finding the device everytime, and when I do I am unable to discover services on the device found. I have been trying to develop this using Ubuntu 14.04 which has wpa_supplicant built in. I am running the utility wpa_cli to run all the commands. When I check the log, I get a timeout message everytime and the timeout period is 0.2 seconds by default, when I hacked into the code and changed the timeout interval, it resulted into erroneous outcome I could not comprehend.

    Seems like a dead-end to me but I believe that can't be. Would welcome any help/suggestion/insight/direction. I am neither experienced with networking nor with hardware and this is my first time working on the combination. So I am not sure that its a hardware/driver/configuration limitation or what. Everything I do is pure trial in the dark by following links and trying out stuff.

    Also, I tried to run the test suit for hostap. No luck there too.

    Please help if anyone can.
