3G USB modem frequencies USA

Hi guys

I was looking to buy a 3G modem for raspberry pi that would work with Tmobile/At&t SIM in USA. Because 3G frequencies are different for different modems.

the modems which I require are below. Can anyone please tell me if these get 3G/4G signal with Tmobile/At&t SIM. Please specify which sim card these modems will work with in USA>

1. Huawei E303- 3G HSPA/HSUPA/HSDPA/HSPA/UMTS/WCDMA 850/2100MHz 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz

2. Huawei E220-UMTS Frequency bands 850/1900/2100

GSM Frequency bands 850, 900, 1800, 1900

3G (UMTS/HSDPA) frequency supported 2100 MHz

EDGE frequency supported 900, 1800 and 1900MHz

GPRS frequency supported 900, 1800 and 1900MHz

GSM frequency supported 900, 1800 and 1900MHz

Support for USA / Canada Yes for GPRS/EDGE access at 1900MHz

3. Huawei E1750- HSDPA / HSUPA / UMTS - 2100MHz.

EDGE / GPRS / GSM - 850/900/1800/1900MHz.

4. ZTE MF628

2G EDGE / GPRS / GSM - 900/1800/1900MHz

3G HSDPA / UMTS - 2100 MHz

It's not just the frequencies that are important, as there are also multiple wireless protocols in use.

3G data is on the UMTS service, which is 1900MHz in the USA.  This is the band for the HSPA(+) data services for AT&T and T-Mobile. Modems that support the older HSDPA should also work, but with degraded performance (fast downlink only).

The GSM (2G) band is 850MHz, and this is where EDGE and GPRS data services run (slower than 3G).

USA 4G is a bit confusing, since HSPA+ is sometimes labelled as 4G. The true 4G service is called LTE,  LTE tends to use 700MHz in the USA, but services have used many different frequency bands across the world.

So on your list, 1 & 2 look like the best chance for 3G or 2G access.  3 is a "maybe" and 4 is a "no".
