You don't seem to have a DNS server setup

Do this and your problem may be solved

Okay, If I am understanding it right it might be linked to this problem, but first tell me this: Do you connect your modem(internet) to pc using a connect dialup (icon as shown in image below)? or Internet is always on when you turn on your pc?

Alright this is the problem, Now you need to change your modem settings.. Which Modem you are using?

    Try the following steps :-

    1) Open your modem page(default address) : type this ip in internet explorer 192.168.1.1 and hit enter.

    2) type admin, admin in both username and password field

    3) Now, following steps are according to the type of modem, I will take an example :

    > Now click on Internet connection

    > Under PVC Name tab you will find pppoe_0_35.. Click edit

    > Now click three times and don't change anything, after that you will find a page asking for SERVICE NAME, USERNAME & PASSWORD.

    > Service name : DATAONE, USERNAME = same username (you used in dialup connection), PASSWORD = same password(used in dialup connection).

    > connection type : always on.

    > Click next till you find apply and click apply.

    > now save and reboot your.

That's It.. You can confirm it by rebooting your pc and you will find that internet is already connected (you don't need to connect dial up connection now)

Wait !!! Note this before changing modem settings !!!

--------------------------------------READ THIS BEFORE DOING ABOVE SETTINGS-----------------------------------------------

After trying these settings If your modem(or say internet) does not works you can reset it back to default settings:

There is a small hole(inside it is lies a reset button) on the back side of your modem near to the power jack or somewhere there. Just keep pressing that reset button(using some pin or needle as it is little deep) for ~ 8-10 seconds (at this you will find all MODEM will blink & then modem will restart)

I can only hope now, that you haven't tried changing modem setting already( before reading this important note.) image

start Mozilla or IE or chrome.. type 192.168.1.1 on address bar(address bar: where you type addresses like www.google.com)

Now it will ask you for two things : username and password : type admin for both fields.

    That's it
