Hi. I want to buff out my raspberry pi 1 Model b+, and I want to add a heat sink. I found this inside my box of parts, and I don't know if this is a heat sink. Please correct me. If you know, please tell me how to install it onto the pi.

It looks a bit like a radiator with a fluid pipe or a heat sink with a heat pipe in the middle.
To effectively heat sink your RPi, you need to get the hot components (big chips) in good thermal contact with a heat sink (or the end of a heat pipe).
The device you have looks like it would be hard to achieve good thermal contact.
Another way is to blow air across the hot components - perhaps you can find a cool fan in your junk box.
You could also splurge on some little chip heat sinks and glue them to your chips - they cost less than a dollar for 5.
