RP2 audio/video jack Debian

Hello community of Element 14,

First of all, I'm totally new to Element14, never worked with forums or something so please be gentle.

Also I'm pretty new to Raspberry so that's where I call your help in.

Due to a lack of money I want to run my Raspberry Pi 2 on an old television through audio/video jack.

This worked with a couple of other OSes but not with Debian (it does work with HDMI).

Is this something that should be changed in the settings or is it even possible?

Do you think it would be helpful if the text was also pasted into this question, since it seems that there were two possibile problems.

BTW I'm sure you aren't the only one to get caught with this one.

I've found in the past that the 'other site' sometimes removes stuff, etc.

This whole HDMI/Composite video switching/Selection issue seems to be about the most common problem with the RPI overall it may be worth a section going through the options on this area specifically!
