Multicomp  CBRPP-TS-BLK/WHT - Pi enclosure for 7" display

Dear Sir,

I bought the aforementioned enclosure and according to Raspberry Pi 7” Touchscreen Display, the power is supposed to be fed into the adapter board unless two micro USB cables are being used.

Unfortunately, it appears that the enclosure only has a hole aligned to the raspberry PI instead of the adapter board.

So far, I have not been able to find someone who has tried powering the adapter board from the raspberry Pi using 5v and Ground GPIO connections.

Could you please confirm that this is either possible in such way, or that the enclosure is badly designed.

Thank you.

    Hello Thierry.

hope that these articles I wrote maybe useful for you. Sure the two cables to connect between the display board and the Raspberry PI GPIO works fine

    Dear Enrico,

See my previous post to shabaz.

I might not have been clear.

The main issue is how one supplies power to the entire device. Any documentation I found with clear explanations on how one should bring power to the device is through the display adapter board.

That very one which cannot be reached once the enclosure is built.

I am not too confident powering the pi and have it supply current to the display adapter board.

Cheers and thank you for your interest.
