Here is a shot I found of ISS passing in front of the moon - I didn't take it, but my camera has taken a shot of the moon by itself that is as detailed as this, so this shot provides hope that I can catch a decent shot of ISS. The shot I took shows craters more clearly along the bottom edge.

It's speed is dependent upon the point of reference! If you're inside it about zero. It supposedly is moving at 27,600km per hour with a complete orbit of planet Earth every 92 minutes.
