Hi - just received the Raspberry Pi 7" touch screen, need some help. I can't get any sign of life at all, cannot tell if screen is defective, or me!
I have been through the help forums on several sites, reviewed the videos, even spent some time on you tube, all I've seemed to accomplish is bricking the R pi as well. It won't boot now.
I have a new Raspberry Pi 2 model B, Raspberry Pi power supply, wireless keyboard, wired mouse, wireless wi-fi adapter (L-B link), 8 gig NOOBS pre loaded card, raspbian OS.
The display came partially assembled out of the box. I have checked and rechecked all four ribbon cable connectors, the GPIOs (#2 & 6) are jumpered properly (as shown) connecting the R pi to the adapter board.
Until late last night, the R pi was booting properly, I did have Internet access - all seemed to be in order. I came across some info regarding a need for updates to get screen working with NOOBS, things went sour from there. I presently only get a partial boot now, the screen with the four raspberrys appears, some text scrolling, then it goes to a blank screen with a small "underscore"blinking in the corner. I am unable to get a response. I have tried loading in a 32 gig card (new, formatted) with a copy of raspbian on it, I only get a red led, no green at all so this card isn't being read. I've reinstalled the original noobs 8 gig preloaded card, same partial boot.
I would certainly appreciate any help at all as I don't really have any idea on what to try next!
