Thanks Clem Martin. I'v done everything he mentioned but im getting stuck in one spot. When I connect to wifI it never gave me an option to type in a password
What is the wifi? Is it built in to pi3? or is it a usb dongle?
- In the Network tab, set the Network Technology as WLAN, Network Interface as wlan0 and WLAN SSID as your network’s name.
- Scroll down a bit and set WLAN security and WLAN Passphrase according to your home network’s settings.
- Click OK and reboot the system.
Built in.
Make sure the date of the OS was built for the Pi 3 after Feb 29, 2016 using system command. Before that then you could have this trouble.

In raspbian my wifi works fine. I searched for the network tab in Kodi thatuof but I didn't see any of the settings you spoke of.
Just reinstalled Kodi and everything works fine now. Thanks for your patience and your help.
