make ble device transmit by HW/sw signal only

Hello

 

I am trying to build a project using BT BLE receiver and transmitter

on the transmitter side, I need it to transmit a beacon about 50 times a second, and only when I tell it to (i.e by a sw write or a hw signal)

is it possible? which BLE module should I use?

    Buy any of the modules that support full BLE stack...

    In your case, you have to program both peripheral(transmitter) and central(receiver) ...buy two of the modules with BLE stack... or buy one and use your latest smartphone as central(receiver)...still you have to code both though.

     

    Code your peripheral(transmitter) to send advertisements and notifications at 20ms timer(50 times a second )...means, your beacon data will send every 20ms interval... of course we can control the notification on press of the button on/off...remember the advertisement of the peripheral(transmitter) keeps connecting and disconnecting according to the notifications/indications, we can start and stop the notifications manually by press of the button or under conditional statements in your coding.

     

    Advertisements are the signal that sends availability status of the peripheral device to central devices...notifications/indications are the actual data we are sending to central device, which is controllable by manual or timely fashion...
