file transfer via bluetooth

Hi,

I have been trying to connect my laptop with Raspberry pi3. I have the latest version of ISO image file and have all the support software required for the bluetooth to work. I have been trying to connect RPi to my laptop and after all the command it says, the device does not have any Rpi supported service. Same happens when I try connecting my phone to RPi. I am trying to open COM port through bluetooth on RPi. Can anybody please explain?

Thanks Clem, yes I have already tried that. I can even pair up my android device with RPi, but as soon as it gets connected, it disconnects quoting The device does not have any raspberry pi supported services.

    Hello Margie,

what I found strange (an probably an issue of the Bluetooth layer management) is that the Android device (tested on different Android versions, from 4.5 up to 6.x) should be configured as audio device. Then, Raspberry PI is able to exchange files... I had not yet time to investigate on this detail.

How do I configure it as an audio device? I tried transferring mp3 files but the same result. Have you checked with that?
