What operating system should I use to connect my iPad with iTunes?

What operating system should I use in the Raspberry to install iTunes and connect my iPad to sync? Can the Windows 10 loT accept the latest version of iTunes? Or, is there any other program like iTunes or file maneger program that will read the file system of the iPad?

Since iTunes is written for Intel and the source is not available, it is not possible to run on RPi since it it ARM based. But there are alternatives looking at 10 Alternatives to iTunes for managing your iPod - Simple Help . These run on on Windows(full not IOT), open source, or Linux. Give one or two a whirl.

I just recently got my raspberry pi started. I had a few of those alternatives to iTunes installed, but I'm certain now that is not what I'm looking for.

I NEED TO READ AND EDIT THE SYSTEM FILES OF MY IPAD AND OF ANDROID CELLPHONES LIKE SAMSUNG.

i need a file manager like "iFile".

    what programs can I download?

Unfortunately I have been unable to find ANY that do what you want. Anapod Explorer used to do it, you could essentially use your iPod like an external drive (or at least access the file structure) but Apple get a little twitchy about things like that.

There may be options I have not tried, a good 'googling' may turn something up.

(As for iTunes being written for Intel - I was going to comment that I was using it on my Mac - then I remembered that my Mac runs an Intel i5 Processor! oops)!

Im not sure exactly what you want to do with it but the following webpage suggests a way to use filezilla to read and transfer files over a wifi connection https://dottech.org/18890/four-ways-to-access-your-idevices-iphoneipadipod-touch-file-system-from-your-computer/

That does require a jailbroken device - something I've never been willing to do.

It used to be possible without jailbreaking - Apple being rather protective has seemingly put a kybosh on that.

The post that you linked is 7 years old - but it may still work.

I need to remove the password in the Restrictions of the General menu. I did not forget the password. This is happened on my old iPad asWeill as the new one. It just fails to accept the password I've often using.

The is a hacker instruction to edit the plist, but they suggested using "backupbot", however it I used ion with my iFile on the jailbreak old iPad and it worked fine. But my new iPad is not jailbroken.
