Can't find the Jessie OS version of Raspbian

Question

I am attempting to download the Jessie OS version of Rasbian but I can not
find this version or even download it through NOOBS since it is not one of the OSs
that NOOBS supports. I was able to get the Jessie version about 1 week

ago but it seems it is no longer available. Was it removed or am I not looking
at the right places ?

The last version of raspbian jessie is this one here https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbian/images/raspbian-2017-07-05/2017-07-05-raspbian-jessie.zip If you download this and unzip it you will get a single file 2017-07-05-raspbian-jessie.img. This is a binary SD card image and you need to write this to an SD card using the instructions here https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md RASBIAN is based on the linux DEBIAN operating system customized for the raspberry pi, the latest is version 9 known as "stretch" the previous version 8 was known as "jessie". I don't know if RPi people plan to continue support for raspbian jessie . The question is why do you need it and why won't the latest raspbian stretch do what you want? Brian

Again thak you for the quick response and extremely usefull information. I am using an application called "Cayenne" that helps in the design of IOT circuits by freeing the user of the need to understand peripherals like sensor, motor etc. The documentation for this app says that it is designed to run the Jessie OS on the Raspberry Pi.That is really the only reason I wanted that version. Ok I understand. The Cayenne software may work fine on the latest raspbian anyway but if not I am sure they will fix it so it does. Brian
