Adaptor Board 7inch Touch Screen

Question

Greets to all perhaps more informed than I.

The 7 inch Touch Screen has an adaptor board. On it is a small USB port which resembles the Power USB slot on the Pi.

Does any one know what it can be used for as I can not find any details on this adaptor board.

Is it also a power input USB slot.

Hi Paul,

There are some unused connections on that adaptor board; they are there for providing some different options to powering the board, but for usual deployments are unnecessary and can be ignored.
