Can I use a mouse and a keyboard that are USB models?

I have the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B 1GB and want to know is it ok if I can use the mice and keyboard that are of the USB model?

I do not want to blow-up what took me sometime to save for it.

yes you can use any USB mouse and keyboard wired or wireless.

Some of the wireless ones might prove challenging if they have fancy drivers. Others just look like a wired keyboard to the system.
Here's a list of known compatible models although you might find others work too

The shouldn't blow up the Pi but they might not work.
