Toi 3b+ and enocean pi

Question

Hi everybody.

Can you help me, I’ve bought a raspberry 3 B+ and an enocean pi but there no way for me to make a good configuration.

The only links I’ve found to explain me are 5years old so don’t work with Rpi3b+.

Can you help me please because I really don’t know what I can do....

As far as I know, rpi-update was a mechanism for easier updating for Raspberry Pi kernels from the early days. It wasn't long before the kernel updates were rolled into the regular package management system, so a sudo apt-get install dist-upgrade was all that was needed to update the kernel, so using this fell by the wayside. From what I can see, rpi-update will NOT be required, as the device itself seems to make use of an FTDI USB to Serial converter chip on-board. The FT232R has out-of-box support since Debian Wheezy (2016). I suspect the steps above were required for older Debian Jessie (2015) or older based installations. - Gough

- How have you connected the board to the Pi?

- Why doesn't it work - what error messages are you seeing?

- What operating system are you running on your Raspberry Pi?
- What have you tried to get it working?

- Do you have other Enocean system devices (switches, sensors, etc) that you're trying to integrate with it?
