This looks like a really good addition to the RPi. Just a few questions:
1. When will it be available?
2. What will it cost?
3. When will we get a technical data sheet?
I may be able to make it into a guitar pedal board now...

Hi there,
plan is to have the boards in stock and have a "full" launch with all the documentation etc on 20th November.
Price is still TBD but will be around $30.
Are the boards available today? I could not find anything on your site.
<checks calendar, checks website, repeat for a few days...>
So, any news?
Hi,
I would just like some basic performance information, so I can decide whether to buy this DAC or another manufacturer's product
Can it play 192Khz x 24 bit files? if not what?
What's the noise figure?
any other gems appreciated.
thanks
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
the Audio Hub is the WM5102. We've loaded the product brief and full datasheet onto the webpage for the device Audio Hubs (CODECs) | WM5102 | Wolfson Microelectronics
Yes it can play 24bit 192Khz files.
Cheers.
Hi Michael,
You can get the datasheet today at Audio Hubs (CODECs) | WM5102 | Wolfson Microelectronics
I'm going to respond to your other post on availability.
Hi Michael,
After a minor glitch with the hardware we've now got boards turning up at the warehouse in their thousands. Main focus now is on getting the software drivers to a level we're happy with before releasing. We're working closely with the Raspbian team as well as the team at Element14 and we'll keep you posted as soon as we have a firmer date.
I had a quick look on the Wolfson website but I couldn't see any detailed info about the on chip DSP or how to program it - is this information available ?

Hey, delays happen, but information is always good!
WM5102 seems to support TDM, so is it possible to output multiple channels of audio using this audio card?
You know RPi PCM interface doesn't as such support TDM but its very easy to make the frame sync signal from the LRCK signal for TDM.
