New To Raspberry Pi

Have just purchased RaspPi, plugged everything together, turned on the power supply, lovely coloured screen, yes something is happening. Oh dear Error message," Error resizing FAT partition Warning you are attempting to use/usr/sbin/parted to operate on (resize) a file system. etc etc". But I haven't done anything. So I close the Error Message. Yes I have the standard start up screen with the list of Operating systems, so I put a cross in the box of Raspbian and try to install, nothing. Then I notice that at the bottom of screen Disk Space, RaspBian 2512 MB, Available 0 MB.image

The SD Card was a pre loaded 16 GB with NOOBS, I have a 2A powered Hub, Model B Raspberry pi in a plastic case. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse, seem to work OK. Please Help if you can, I would suspect the SD card.

I would propose you flash the SD card with NOOBS again and retry.
Searching on Google, this seemed to resolve the issue for many similar cases.

Follow the instructions on the Raspberry Pi website: NOOBS Setup | Raspberry Pi

    Good luck!

Thank you Frederick for your response, it is very helpful when someone backs up your thoughts on what is wrong, I will send the SD card back to the suppliers as I purchased it with NOOBS already flashed. I shall purchase another and flash it myself. Thanks once again.

I'm not sure why you would want to send that SD card back, as you could try flashing that card again ?

    Hi Frederick

The reason I didn't re-flash the SD card, is because I thought the company that supplied the card should know that they were sending out rubbish cards. Since then, I have purchased another SD card and flashed it with NOOBS, all works as it should now. Sorry didn't reply earlier but got carried away with Linux.

    Malcolm.
