Both units will not "see" the wifi dongle...Yet in my old old raspberrypi B - the wifi dongle is seen and I am able to logon to the wifi network.. Is there a fix ? And, did the b+ get shipped with this problem?

Hi baker195,
You haven't confirmed whether or not you updated your (I'm assuming Raspbian or NOOBS) installation.
You need to make sure that your linux installation is up to date so that your B+ is supported. If you already have a B and just swapped the SD Card over, you're going to have problems. So as fvan has said, and also Eben Upton said in the webinar he did on the website. You need to
apt-get update; apt-get upgrade; apt-get dist-upgrade
At the terminal.
If you install RaspBMC it may not be up to date to work with the B+ yet. OpenELEC though, I think is.
Hope this helps.
I know it is annoying, but if you can't get this one to work element 14 sells a wwifi dongle designed specifically for pi. It costs about 10 pounds sterling.
baker195 , ok, thanks for humouring me.
Now what is the make and model of the WiFi dongle you're using ? Does anything else work when you plug it into the USB port(s) such as a keyboard or mouse ?
