I like the 2GB ram mostly, although the price is about 60% more... The biggest con is software support which may be a semi permanent problem

Its great to see more healthy competition, it can only lead to better devices in the future! I think somebody mentioned that this new SBC does consume more power than the Raspberry Pi so there are some applications it wouldn't be suitable for.

It'll be great to get peoples first impressions of it, there are lots of aspects like whether it needs cooling if using it to its full potential that we are only going to hear about when they are in users hands.

I would like to know, whether there are open source drivers for the MCU and it peripherals (including a video/graphics engine).

I have had the Tinker Board for two days now but no sign of the OS for it yet, not impressed and starting to loose interest.
Has the hardware been released too soon?

mconners 2 days and more THANK YOU!!! I had tried searching Asus but didn't find anything and CPC were supposed to be sending me the link when it became available.
Just running the debian distro... it's fast
