Phone Call On PC

nicolaoscon96

Hello Again,

As I mention in other posts I am working on  a home automation project and I want to make it like a personal assistance as JARVIS is in IronMan Movies. All the coding and circuit boards are mostly design by me except the Raspberry Pi and The arduino image. So as the title say i want to write a code for my PC software (i wrote mostly of the main software in Visual Basic 2010) that it will be able to receive incoming calls and also the caller ID.Is there any way to achieve that? I searched the internet but i can't find any similar and if this is possible am i going to need to install on my pc a 56k dial up modem?

Any ideas are welcome

Thanks a lot nicolaoscon96

    Hello Nicolas,

Receiving incoming calls can be done several ways,

    1) A modem or cellular Wifi hotspot

    2) VOIP

    3) Skype or similar program

    4) Tablet with SIM card (like Samsung Tab E and AT&T NumberSync)

Anything tied to a SIM card will probably cost you a fee.

    Scott

I don't know how but yes it is possible. There are caller ID phones so if you have the similar system you can but I dunno how. You also need to talk with your service provider to active it (I did when I got that phone). It looks like an old technology. Technology is moving towards VOIP.
