Pifacedigital2 Emulator

I have installed pifacedigitalio however I am unable using the instructions provided by Piface to install the emulator.

Please can anyone help

Hello,

There are some issues if you try running the PiFace Digital2 (emulator and hardware) on the most recent Raspbian Linux distributions. One of these is that it no longer runs on Python 2.x but on the 3.x versions. Indeed, the installation of the Python libraries will work also for Python 2 so this creates a big confusion. The second issue is related to the SPI speed of the PiFace respect the default SPI speed of the Linux device. Hi,

have tried, I changed the spi.py file. It was in a different location to the one you suggested that it would be.
pifacedigitalio installed OK, using sudo install python3-pifacedigital-emulator I get unable to locate python3-pifacedigital-emulator.

Any thoughts.

I think that for some reason that I don't know your setup is not standard. The location I suggested is in the path of the system. So I suggest you of trying two things. The first is calling the stuff with the full path and the second (especially if this first will work) adding the path to your system.
