Raspberry Pi 7” Touchscreen Display

Hello All:

Just purchased one of these to use with a Pi 3 B to run Kodi.  Things seem to run fine other than the display is rotated 180°.  I fixed that by adding "LCD-rotate=2" to the config file.  However, I notice now that the boot screen (the static OSMC screen) is broken into patches rastering at 45° to the screen.  Is there any way to fix this?

Secondly, with this touchscreen connected to the Pi, the HDMI output no longer provides any output.  Is there a way to enable both HDMI and the touchscreen or toggle between them?

Very nice screen.  I just got it and hooked it up, it looks great.  There is a power button modification that uses GPIO3 pin 5 and the pin 6 ground to shut down and wake up the PI.  will that mod work in tandem with this screen?  (here's the mod: https://howchoo.com/g/mwnlytk3zmm/how-to-add-a-power-button-to-your-raspberry-pi)

Or do you know of a workaround?  I know this isn't directly an issue with the screen, but hoping you can answer.

does any body know if the touchscreen display works properly when the os is windows core iot?

I have my 7# touchscreen running as instructed. I want to also have two micro displays on the same i2c chain.

My micro monitors work as expected but when i connect the touchscreen I am getting noise in my micro displays.

I ran this code to see what was on my i2c network and i get different results each time that correspond to the touchscreen monitor. Can i use this monitor along with my 2 micro lcd panels? Can i set the i2c address of the touchscreen just like i did to my 2 micro lcd panels?

After running the above code i see both my lcd panels at 0x3C and 0x3D as expected. I see two more devices that change i2c addresses each time i run code. Can anyone educate me on this issue?

More info: it's related to the touch screen which is running through i2c. I get an I/O error in my python calls to write to display. If i disconnect touchscreen part, the lcd monitors work as expected.

I have a small problem with the software. I run the command and reboot however the application shortcut is not there and I don't know how to run it with out the shortcut. A command would be nice as well, but is there a command I'm missing?

May need to start with a fresh install of Jessie since your APT db looks to be wanked. Be sure your internet connection is up and working as well.
