Welcome to the first of four blog posts in support of the METCAL GT120-HP-T6 Soldering Station.
I will use the blog posts to explore the different aspects of the RoadTest Review product. The objective is to examine the product, while engaging E14 Community readers. Comments and questions to the blog post are welcomed and encouraged. The blog posts will contain the details that are used to assemble the RoadTest Review document.
The four blog posts planned for this RoadTest are titled:
GT120-HP-T6 Soldering Station: Application
GT120-HP-T6 Soldering Station: Introduction
GT120-HP-T6 Soldering Station: Tear Down
GT120-HP-T6 Soldering Station: Comparison
Let's start with Application. In this blog post the details from the Application to this RoadTest are reviewed. The application is the document that is used by the RoadTest Review committee to select reviewers. It contains the RoadTesters product review plan. I think it is important in a RoadTest to share the plan and then work the plan.
The plan that was outlined in the RoadTest Application was to perform a comparison between the GT120-HP-T6 Soldering Station and Weller WT1012N Soldering Station Weller Soldering Station WT Series - Review .
My Application was selected for the Weller RoadTest. I plan to leverage the knowledge from that RoadTest and use it for comparison to the Metcal product. My goal is not to determine the BEST product, but rather to explore the features of the Metcal product.
