Magnetic Connectors - Better Than Average

If you missed the subtlety of the Crocodile Dundee reference... these connectors are fantastic.  Thank you e14 for the opportunity to try them out.

What are they?  Specifically, the MulticompPRO MP series magnetic connectors.  What makes these so useful is the 30VDC/VAC 5A rating.  I can get into a lot of trouble with 5 amps.

I'm kind of an application guy.  How can I use it?  I had a few ideas.  Again, thank you e14 and rscasny for letting me bring them to life.

banana can be a tricky one as well... knowing when to stop auto-repeating...

JoyJoy  I haven't figured out why I insert a bunch of "m's" in everything I type these days.  But I do.  Oops.
I guess I'm getting lazy trusting the spellchecker.

It could be a great way to teach you how to spell element14 as well  Joy

A 16-segment version would be more alphabet friendly, but yes, text plus decorations stringed together using magnetic connectors.

beacon_dave   Fantastic idea!  3D print project with LEDs that light up when you connect the letters together.  The letters could be a bit like the ones lorrainbow used on the giant 7-segment wall timer in elememnt14 Presents episode 482 and episode 493 - only smaller.  It could be a great way to teach a child how to spell their name - or say Happy Christmas - or whatever.

hifromkatie  Would any of the smaller magnetic connectors work with your Xmas decorations projects ? Perhaps do a variation on a fridge magnet alphabet type theme where decorations can be easily rearranged along a string.
