Does Anyone Own a Tektronix 2 Series MSO Portable Mixed Signal Oscilloscope? If So, I Need Your Help.

I am looking for anyone who currently owns a 2 Series MSO Portable Mixed Signal Oscilloscope

I need someone to try out this test procedure: Click here to see procedure

Why am I making this request?

Tektronix and element14 are producing an article on the current trend of controlling oscilloscopes remotely. I'd like to have a blog that goes through setting up the Pi and the o'scope to accompany the article.

We are specifically writing the article for the Tektronix 2 Series oscilloscope.

So, if you own this scope, and have some spare time, please leave a comment and we can talk about it some more.

Thanks.

Randall

No worries rscasny - I shall be returning to Sydney on Wednesday, so I'll try my best to dig out my Raspberry Pi and give it a go while filming a video of sorts. At a glance of the procedure, I suspect…

baldengineer is our local PyVisa expert. Don't know if his current job prevents him from reviewing this combination?

Only one I've seen around here was the one Gough reviewed. This was his take on the remote control:

    Hi rscasny

Indeed, I did review one. I'm still overseas but I could probably give it a look over next week.

    Hi Gough.

Thanks for responding. Like I said above, I don't need a full blown roadtest review or anything like that. We are writing an article with Tektronix on the remote control feature of the 2Series MSO. I wanted to add a blog or even a video that goes through how to set it up on the Ras Pi. It would accompany the article. (I know the company has produced a video, but I prefer having an element14 member verify the procedure works.)

I don't need it this week. If I got it in 2 or 3 weeks, that would be fine.

If you have more specific instructions or requests, feel free to directly contact by email.
