Is there any other way to start the board. Even Ubuntu 16.4 is not working properly. I have booted my system with Ubuntu 16.4. Still no proper way to install the software.

There are a bunch of videos on their YouTube channel, although I didn't see one that troubleshoots your specific problem:

What is your knowledge level regarding what you are attempting to do? Are you a novice, an expert...your branching into something new.

The posts remind me of the classic fable of The Crow and the Pitcher. It tells of a thirsty crow who finds a pitcher with water too low to reach with its beak. Using its intelligence, the crow drops pebbles into the pitcher, causing the water level to rise until it can quench its thirst.

It seems members are dropping pebbles that will allow you to drink. It looks like you keep asking for a different pebble? Meaning do you understand what they are offering and are able to fully utilize it? This is not a criticism but an observation. Letting us know your knowledge level helps us help you.

Also check which USB devices are listed via console command  lsusb

This works for linux:)  run it before the new device is added so you get a baseline, run it again after the device is pluged in. If it doesn't appear its dead! ~~ Cris H.

Btw If you think it may be dead  change port or remove it and plug in a flash drive and check with lsusb if you can see the flash then your device could be dead ...
