The U1620A is the world’s first handheld scope with a VGA display. This 200 MHz handheld scope offers a floating measurement capability with two CAT III 600 V isolated channels. With a 2 Mpts memory depth, it captures more waveforms from signals such as pulse width modulated circuit, in rush, transient, and motor start up sequences. Its benchtop-like display and dual window zoom function allow you to easily identify problem areas and zooming for more detailed analysis. Now, you can view signals in detail and detect glitches easily.
Q&A
What we would like to see in a person doing the Road Test?
Maximizing the combination of the high sampling rate, deep memory and dual zoom to see more and do more. Feel the difference of using the 3 viewing modes in an indoor, dark or in bright sunlight environments.
Are there certain application areas we would like folks working on?
Any application in the industrial or electronics segment.
I don't think it is really hard to hook it to the system or project that you are working on. Then capture couple of things, put them here. After that you are free to do with your device what ever you want. It'll take no time. But they just go easy and open new accounts after the treasure. ( I think )
That unfortunately sometimes happens, there are always people who abuse the system.
Frankly, I think one of the requirements of being chosen for a roadtest would be to already be an active contributor to the community, I think this would lessen the amount of abuse.
But at least the people who do not have a valid reason and will not post the review later will never be chose again.
On the other hand, I am not sure anymore how this Road Test thing is working ! This is a great peace of equipment and we have 5 lucky friends. The problem on this road test is only 2 reviews out of 5. What is going on? Did the others get it or not? If yes then, haven,t they opened the box? or Did they put it on Ebay directly?
I'm glad to see all these great reviews. It's such an expensive product, but thanks to all the reviewers, now I know I can spend the money and get a good product.
I also got mine today but only just put it to charge, plenty of photos of the device and package contents have been taken so I will make my part 1 of the review available soon.
Thanks for the hint Anton, I will dig our my IR meter to see how much difference does a long run-time make for the temperature of the device.

Indeed, it is very impressive.
But there is something that they have forgotten : They should give away about 1000 kits. Otherwise, there will be so much people to be sad

Very impressive spec sheet. The uses for a small scope with the measurement capability of this unit would be a welcome addition to anyone's workbench.
I think Agilent has a winner here.
