Vanity shades and spiral test in Slic3r

My newest design and print. 50 mm diameter 125 mm height. 1.5mm PLA blue transparent. Bottle neck ridge for support in the base. It still has a seam, I tested spiral and the walls are too thin and could not print the bottle neck, it tried to hollow it. .4 mm nozzle and to thicken the walls one would have to increase the nozzle size with spiral slic3r.

Nice, I am still slowly learning how to set up my printer to get a good fused print. DAB

Oh I am not giving up, but I only get about six good hours a day and I have to budget that time carefully. So hopefully everyone will have patience while slowly work out the bugs and get to a good printing…

Spiral test with no seam in Slic3r. 1 layer, one bead of filament in a spiral print.

It's hard, don't give up, the more you work at it the more you will learn and get past the small things that hang you up. I started out by printing small square washers, .70mm thick, 15mm square, 4mm hole in the center, this gives you a quick print to see how well progress is going until you can tweak it and go again. I also use these same washers to level my bed when you get to level print testing.

So hopefully everyone will have patience while slowly work out the bugs and get to a good printing capability.

Then I can take everyone through the design process as I try to make a replacement neck brace.
