Keep finding myself watching my 3D printer when it's printing, it must be what a cat feels like with a laser pointer
I found myself doing the same thing when nlarson posted this Print Your Pi Day Decorations! video this afternoon. 
Same here, sometimes, I just keep staring. Not because I'm worried that something might go wrong, but I suppose there is something magical about seeing an object appear out of thin air. 
Could be webcam service worth hosting on the wider internet. That way people like myself don't miss out on the action. 
I just like the sound the 3D Printer makes - and people have even harnessed them to sound like actual songs like this one

yeah complete with bloopers of when things do go wrong 
OMG! This reminds me of the days when someone took a mainframe printer with a chain spinning around. If you struck the right letters at the right time, you could produce a jingle or two.

Seeing as my printer will never see the day it'll print because of the numerous faults with it, I read this and feel sad
