My suggestion is: Keep the Motor drive power separated from the remaining circuits. Due to the PWM currents you will have a very noisy ground. It is best to have a motor_ground and sensor/switch_ground. If you want to force the current back through a predefined path you could use a common mode choke on the DC-output. The value of such a coil is in the range of 220uH (thick copper wire on HF toriod).
