Hi,
I am looking for small 8 pin connectors - think the size of micro USB. I will need to run a mix of audio, power and data signals through. I would need both options for attaching on cords as well as on PCBA. Size is important - any ideas guys?

Hi Tino,
Better late then never, I guess your design might be closed by now, however perhaps these Micro USB3.0 pcb connectors might help: http://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-50438/l/news-release-usb30-connectors-super-speed-in-micro-format
The GCT Micro USB3.0 receptacles have 10 contacts, although tiny are not quite as small as Micro USB2.0 as they have the extra cavity with 5 extra contacts to allow USB3.0 'Superspeed' , they are in the same tiny ballpark.
GCT don't sell the cable assemblies, but I think you can pick these up off the shelf at Farnell, see 18612641861264 example cable with Micro B USB3.0 plug. GCT offer both B and A/B PCB receptaces, type B being practically more popular as the A/B type is normally used for on the go applications.
