Hello,
I am trying to find a way to turn off a circuit with a red light, when another circuit with a green light is closed. When the green light circuit becomes open, the red light should turn back on.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

There are many permutations of what you are describing so it is unlikely that I have drawn the correct schematic but here is a place to start anyway.

Hi Compact,
We have no semiconductors to protect and I am using a cuttler Hammer 400 Amp Switch so arcing won't be a problem. Based on what Mark gave us to work with we are both making a few assumptions.
I put the extra switch since Mark indicated he had an existing Red Light circuit so I drew a circuit and put a a switch in it.
