i want to build a circuit that expands dc range

Hello

most of the time i repair stuff. so not used to designing 

the input to this circuit min=0.48v max=2.5v

i want to expand the output to min=0 max =2.5v

this is for a anilog input and power supply of 5v

if i needed to generate a negative rail i could just use dc-dc module 

as it would only be a 1 off i would just use vero board and DIL ic

    The way I interpret your setup is as follows:

    You are using a circuit to calibrate a DAQ instrument.

    Ideally you would like this 'stimulus circuit' to operate from 0V to 2.5V.

    Unfortunately instead of 0V, the stimulus circuit only goes down to 0.48V.

    My comments:

    If your stimulus circuit has an op-amp  ensure that it is a rail to rail type, or look to using a negative rail as you suggest in your later post.
