Hey,
I'm trying to develop a couple of IoT devices I wanna hear some recommendations on how to control AC devices for cheap.
I've done some research and I've found some these little devices called Latching Relays. A couple of models that I'm looking at right now are "UC2-4.5SNU" or "EC2-4.5SNU". These are great but I don't find a source to buy them in low quantities.
1- So where can I find any of those models to buy?
For my porpuses, these would a relatively expensive solution. What I like from relays is that you can use them in a somewhat "universal" way, you don't necessarily have to create a new circuit every time you encounter a new appliance, you just have to be a little aware of the potency (watts).
2- Is it possible to create another "universal" solution like I describe with SSRs?
The last thing would be on how to find suppliers for components cus I'm guessing you can find them even cheaper if you talk directly with the supplier.
3-Any suggestions on how to get the contacts from I own?
If any of these questions would be better on other forums or another topic section of Element14, tell me right away.
Thanks and sorry for the trouble.
