G'day Mate,
Total neebie here, sorry if these questions have already been answered but I have searched and searched and I can not find a definative answer
I am in the process of building my first cnc mill/router,
I have the frame with the 3 axis, no motors in yet,
I have a HY-JK02-M-5axis interface board it runs 5vdc, from the printer port or can use usb which is a switch on the board,
I also have 3 YM2754 5 wire unipolar stepper motor rated at 12vdc,
The questions I have is can the board run the motors, or do I require some form of switch (npn or pnp or mosfet) to power the motors?
the motors have 5 wires but the board only has 4 terminals for each axis, how do I connect the motors to the board? I know 1 wire is common and I belive that depending on how you wire it it can have full, half, quarter, or micro step.
If I require some form of switch, will 1 switch do all 3 motors or do I need a different switch for each motor?
If I require a switch, could you do a simple circuit diagram, (I can't spell schematic, lol) and parts list for me, Obviously I could use the same circuit for each motor if I have to.
Thank you or anyone who can help me in advance.
It will be very much appreciate it.
Damien
