I was measuring current through a Zener diode and observed a spike right before the current pulse with a Tek oscope (please see the circled portion in the attached picture). I am trying to confirm if the spike is real or just an artifact.
A couple ideas I'm planning to try:
- Use a longer cable to add cable capacitance
- Use coaxial test lead instead of a 10x scope probe
I expect if the spike is an artifact, I should we worse ringing. Is that the right approach?
Thanks.
