Measuring Vibrations

Hi,

I hope I have this post in the right section, If not please move it.

I need to find a device that will measure vibrations frequencies of a milk centrifugal separator(motor, shaft, bearings etc). I need to know these frequency's so that I can then buy the correct sensor to detect them.

I have a PicoScope 2203 oscilloscope and was looking for a device that I can connect to it so I can view the frequencies.

Am I going about this in the right way ?

Any help is much appreciated as I am very new to this area.

Finally this is an IoT project so money is limited.

I would try hooking a piezo disk directly to the scope leads and tape the disk where you want to measure vibration.
These disks are very low cost.

What's your budget? Basically you want an accelerometer that you mount on the machine. Take data from the accelerometer using your picoscope and look at its frequency content.
