After you send commands, there will be a beep. Even there is an error; if you confirm USB works well, please check if there is something wrong with the command, for example, there should not be carriage returns or terminator behind the command *IDN?

 

Therefore, if there is carriage returns or terminator after you type the command, the error will be caused.

    The document refers to "NR1" and "NR2" parameters - but does not say what these mean!

     

    To save others having to google these, they are standard SCPI terms:

     

    <NR1>

    Digits with an implied decimal point assumed at the right of the least-significant digit. Examples: 273

    <NR2>

    Digits with an explicit decimal point. Example: .0273

         Thank you for your enquiry, please see below for your reply, as I received from our manufacture.

    1. Yes, series here is serial, but only for triple channel power supplies.

    Please check the detailed remote control syntax in the user manual as attached:

    1. ISET1<X>:<NR2>
    Description: Sets the out put current

    Example :ISET1:2.225

    Response time :50ms

    Sets the CH1 out put current 2.225A

    On Page 7, in "ISET", NR2 means the setup value of current.

     

    3.VSET<X>NR2

    Description: Sets the out put current

    Example: SET 1:20.50.

    SET the CH1 voltage to 20.50V
    On Page 8, , in "VSET", NR2 means the setup value of voltage,

    You missed my point:

     

    It doesn't explain what "NR2" means - as a numeric format.

     

    As stated, it means a number with an explicit decimal point.
