Very good designed challenge. Hope will get selected.
Powerful processor MiniZed running Ubuntu OS, PetaLinux is what I need for personal R&D.

The projects presented on Path Programmable II used a lot of applications from PYNQ platform. Hopefully, I will see more different ideas from Path Programmable III.
Yeah, PYNQ is a really nice platform both in HW and SW. I am potentially thinking to explore that using Minized - hit across some blog (+) Minized - PYNQ - Blog - FPGA - element14 Community
I will explore it with Ultra96
I m selected, so will explore and make videos and upload in Blog, Youtube.
PYNQ is one of main frameworks for Zynq now. The blog you found from Element14 was one of the best blogs for PYNQ flow on FPGA.
I never realized PYNQ also includes accelerated overlays for (some of) the accelerated OpenCV functions. Sounds like I need to explore PYNQ again, in more detail!

They don't come preloaded, but there's an example on git from the Pynq community, that showcases resizing via in-fabric opencv functions. https://github.com/Xilinx/PYNQ-HelloWorld
I will look PYNQ in coming weeks.
