Hey everyone, it is time to announce the winners of the Smart Security & Surveillance challenge!
But first, a quick reminder of this challenge's theme and the prizes.
The Challenge
For the chance to win a prize, challengers had to build a smart security or surveillance-themed prototype and share it here on the community, showcasing the features of the kit components in the most innovative, imaginative ways possible.
Prizes
Prizes are subject to change but will be of similar price and style.
*Grand Prize and Runner Up winners will also earn the finisher prize.
**Don't worry if a prize is out of stock in your region or does not have the right plug for you. We can ship from global stocks, include a plug adaptor, or find a local equivalent of a prize.
The Winners
Now without further ado, here are the winners!
1st Place Winner

arvindsa created a solution for securely - but more easily - using a door that has to be opened by swiping a card and then typing a PIN.
2nd Place Winner

saramic set out to create a lock box that opens only when multiple parties agree to use a biometric fingerprint reader.
3rd Place Winner

Alistair built a project that reminds you to turn your alarm on when you leave the house. His device identifies when everyone has left a property and then goes ahead and sets the alarm.
Finisher Prize

skruglewicz created a security and surveillance intelligence hub with the capability for dual-factor biometric authentication, crowd sentiment analysis, and active sentry response.
I will be arranging the prizes so drop me a message if you have any questions at all :)
Very well done to everybody who took part in this challenge and put in plenty of hard work. A lot of really impressive progress was made, challenges were overcome, and lessons were learned along the way.
A big thank you as well to everybody who liked, commented, and got involved in the discussions, as well as our challenge sponsor Analog Devices for all their support helping make this challenge happen.
The next design challenge has already opened for enrolment so look no further if you are ready for your next competition to take part in. The challenge is to build a smart transport-themed project and you can check out all the details right here.
