After several days of working on the gears and mounting the stepper motor, they are finally coompleted and ready to be controlled by the Edison board

    You people with your 3D printers. I need to come up with a reason to invest in one. Maybe find a client who needs 3D printed items. Very nice update.

    Nice gears. It might be worth making the smaller gear a little fatter to allow for slight misalignment and to give it a bit more strength. My printer is not the most commonly used tool in the shop but…

    I agree, the thin gears may work now, but once you add the weight of the tube and camera, you might find that the stress is too much.

    My printer is not the most commonly used tool in the shop but they are good for this kind of thing.
