As dougw said it is only the Intel Edison that is required to be used.

BUT having said that there is no pins for power or access to the GPIO directly on the Edison.

    The I/O is 1.8v so you'll probably…

Just a quick clarification so I can fully plan.  On page 2 of the T&C it mentions using the Components in the Kit provided, but on page 3 it says Component and specifying just the Main board.

Do we need to plan on using the entire Kit with all components per Page 2 or just the main board per page 3?  I am pretty sure just the main board but thought it is easiest to verify now then be sorry later.  :-)

The unboxing video indicates you only need the Intel Edison arduino.

Cool, I almost never watch videos due to poor internet connections, I do try to read the Terms and Conditions though.  :-)  One of the downsides from moving out into the rural area, limited Internet and anyone selling it is usually grossly exaggerating their speeds while running 3x or better the amount of devices recommended per AP.  But we have views!  :-)

The I/O is 1.8v so you'll probably need to use a third party interface or the breakout board and add level conversion.
