I go by the online alias of "Shank" and as you probably know, I played a major role in Portablizing the Wii. For 3 years, I spent thousands of hours working on properly reverse engineering the Wii so it could be used in portables. I spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on the project, with no expectation of a return on investment. I reached out to engineers, medical xray operators, professors, Wii Hackers, portablizers who had left the community, and more, trying to find answers. I was bed ridden for a week due to health concerns from sanding wii motherboards, and failed a college class because of it. I purchassed dozens of Wiis, and shipped many of them for free to other members for them to help work on. I put my blood, sweat, tears, heart, soul, and wallet into development for wii for portablizing. All along the way, I documented it all, for free, so others could build their own portables. I love this hobby, and want to help and encourage everyone to create their own Wii portable.

I would like you to imagine yourself being in my shoes. Imagine pouring everything you have into a cause you believe in so much, without asking a dime in return. Throughout your video, you claimed credit for many, many of the things we as a community worked so hard to accomplish. I encourage you to use any of my work to make better portables, but it truly saddens me that you feel the need to claim credit for everything I worked so hard to accomplish. I spent three years of my life, countless hours, and all of my disposable income on this so everyone doesn't have to. The least you can do is give credit.

Family name, sure. But having 4 "E Millers" and 3 of them being "Eric" is a little suspicious, don't you think? Also the fact that several of the accounts that voted for you have completely changed their names is a bit odd.

Besides, perhaps the low ratings are from members of a community, as you say, who aren't very fond of people blatantly ripping off other's work. In your video, for example, you state that YOU found out there's a difference in revisions that's associated with shell color and that YOU "discovered" that the 4-layer boards use less power. That's not true at all. I've seen your work. You just pump out the same units over and over again (using other people's research, mind you) and sell them to pad your wallet. There is no improvement to the design. Your Super Hype 64 or whatever even incorporates the PSOne screen, an archaic and outdated panel that's been sworn off by the community due to it's rarity, high power consumption and cheaper alternatives.

Most of the hardware elements featured in your video would not be possible without BitBuilt or our work. Yet you completely relegate our efforts to "trimming information" when you clearly used much more than the trimming guide. For example, your method of switching between controllers is directly ripped from JacksonS' latest units yet he's completely uncredited. Same goes for his Wii remote information. He put all of this information out there in the public so that everyone in the community could use it to better their systems and you rip it off claiming it to be your own? Truthfully it's both disgusting and disappointing. There are plenty of other examples throughout your video as well.

There are also a lot of inconsistencies within the information you've provided about the games that this can run. I can guarantee you that you cannot get 200 N64 games to run on the Wii. There are only 21 titles that run through the Virtual Console meaning they'll be full speed. However, most games that run through Wii64 will experience heavy lag or be unplayable altogether. Had you actually done any of your own testing/research, you would have come across this issue and wouldn't have listed 200 games as working.

Overall I wouldn't relegate a low rating to "pulling from a separate community to skew voting." Perhaps everyone can see through the smokescreen you think you've created and can really see what you're trying to do and are giving you the rating you truly deserve. If I recall correctly, your video even had a 1:15 like to dislike ratio before you turned off ratings and comments... I'm not sure if you're ripping off other people's work to boost your ego or if you really didn't think anyone would notice. At any rate, this is definitely not the kind of behavior anyone would expect or want to see from "The new Ben Heck." You claim it's all about "the thrill of the build" but for you I honestly think it's more about "the thrill of the Benjamins."

I believe one of the members showed this by getting his friends at varsity to create an account and vote.

After the winners were announced he admitted the experiment and asked that the prize be awarded to the true winner.

There will always be ways to cheat a system.

There seems to be lots of video of multiple voting in the Russian election.

In the end those that cheat have a hollow victory, and the community will always wonder why the result doesn't match the subsequent efforts and involvement.
